What is translating?

Nowadays, there are more than 3,000 known languages in the world. With the expansion of international relations, translations are playing an increasingly important role in today's world. The work of translators can be found in different areas of daily life, e.g. international relations, cultural and business relationships, educational programmes, universities, companies and tourism. A   surprising number of the texts that we deal with every day are, in fact, translations: operating instructions, manuals, different kinds of documents, news, novels, films, newspaper articles etc. When a translation is well-done, we don't even realise it is a translation.

A translator's work is not easy. Languages live and change. New words, sayings and definitions are born every day. Translating work requires profound knowledge of the source and target languages as well as an excellent knowledge of the target area. However, nobody can be an expert in every field. That's why it is essential that the translator work in close collaboration with other translators and experts from different fields.  This ensures that the translator will receive competent professional assistance to clarify any doubts that may arise.

Furthermore, it is important to keep abreast of the language, and to maintain all technical equipment and dictionaries up-to-date so that the original message can be transferred to the required language correctly, reflecting both the contents and the style of the original text.

With a good translation, you show your foreign business partners that you take them seriously, right from the beginning.
